5.9 Air Cleaner

To service:

5.9.1 Unlock clamps (d) and remove cover (c).

5.9.2 Remove cartridge (b) from air cleaner body (a).

Clean by gently tapping cartridge. (Replace cartridge if very dirty or

damaged.)

5.9.3 Carefully clean out air cleaner cover (c).

NEVER use gasoline or other types of low flash point solvents for

cleaning the air cleaner. A fire of explosion could result.

5.9.4 Install cartridge in body

5.9.5 Install cover and lock clamps.

NOTICE: NEVER run engine without air cleaner. Severe engine

damage will occur.
